(Trailblazing jazz trumpeter and singer, Clora Bryant, was in her mid-fifties when I took this photo of her performing at Rusty's Hacienda, in Glendale, in October of 1982. Health issues forced her to give up playing the trumpet in 1996 but she continued to sing. )
