Images from 2008
(And definitely some from 2009)
Updated 2025
In 2008, I unexpectedly discovered color through a low-cost cell phone camera. The small, crude JPEGs it produced were limited, yet they held a painterly quality that captivated me. I printed the files on matte paper, producing images that suggested pastel drawings.
In 2025, I revisited those original files. Using modern digital processing tools, I reworked them and uncovered new depth, texture, and emotional resonance. Eureka: The Year That I Discovered Color examines how technology and time can transform an artist’s perception of their work—revealing previously unseen possibilities.
This presentation was made under the auspices of ATXcalifornia.
