Detritus (dĭ-trīˈtəs): waste or debris of any kind. Organic waste material from decomposing dead plants or animals. Debris or fragments of disintegrated material.
It’s that stuff under foot. Mostly we pay no attention to it, unless we step into something unpleasant. Mostly it’s small, sometimes very small. The series Detritus is my exploration of the creation of order, composition, from the chaos, randomness, of the stuff that lies beneath our feet.
