DETRITUS (dĭ-trīˈtəs): WASTE OR DEBRIS OF ANY KIND. ORGANIC WASTE MATERIAL FROM DECOMPOSING DEAD PLANTS OR ANIMALS. DEBRIS OR FRAGMENTS OF DISINTEGRATED MATERIAL.

It’s the stuff underfoot. We hardly pay attention to it unless it’s out of inconvenience – chewing gum or worse. In this ongoing series I continue to explore the incidental order, composition, textures, color, and how beauty can be right under our feet. We only have to look.
